EILEEN CARDONA VÁZQUEZ

My fitness journey has evolved and expanded over the years. I started about 7 years ago as a Yoga teacher and then became a personal trainer. Being active has always been important to me, I started dancing when I was 12 years old, I surfed, I was part of the dance team and judo team in college. Unfortunately, I had two different accidents that lead to having surgery on my knee and shoulder. Since then I have been on a quest to find the best way I can keep my body strong and with less pain. In this journey, I learned that being fit is much more than just going to the gym, following a program, getting strong, and getting in shape, it’s a state of awareness. Not being sick does not mean you’re well, and being well doesn’t mean you’re fit, becoming your fittest self is a choice. Every day we make choices that can deter or strengthen our minds, our bodies, and our souls. Through fitness, I have seen what amazing things the human body is capable of doing. How could I pass on that? I want to be the fittest me I can be till the day I die and inspire others to do so till then.

I work mostly with women because I want to empower them to feel comfortable in the weight room. However, I have worked with many different populations such as teenagers, men, breast cancer survivors, prenatal and older adults. My approach to fitness is functional, constantly varied, intense, and it can be adjusted to all kinds of fitness levels. My goal as a trainer is to help my clients find a way to live a happier healthier life however that may look like for them.
